Experiments with contrast, color, and lighting techniques.
I have traveled the world working with some of the most talented and beautiful people in order to create striking, dynamic, site-specific portraits and fine-art nudes.
This commissioned underwater series was meant to represent the biblical concept of angels struggling and falling from heaven and their attempt to rise again.
Sometimes the simplest techniques are the fastest approach to capturing someone’s true self.
Talented actress and model McKenzie Eckels has been a wonderful muse to collaborate with over the years. Here are just a few special images from our time on the Oceano Dunes.
Artist Erika DeLeija is as endearing and sweet in person as she is expressive and creative in her images. These select images are from a noir series taken in 2017.
In the fall of 2016 I was commissioned for a project with TONI & GUY Salons in the Netherlands for a Dutch hair competition. I was flown out, the hair extensions and body pieces were 3D printed, and I arranged lighting and smoke machines. Over the course of a week, I designed and built the background set myself in the workspace above the salon in Amsterdam, shooting the entire project with a team of 8 talented stylists and make-up artists in one day. A week later, back home in California, I edited the final photos. A year later the images made it into the top 3 juried selections at the final awards.
