SHOW & TELL
By Mark Velasquez
SHOW & TELL documents Mark Velasquez's beginnings as a model photographer in his small, conservative hometown on the central coast of California. This book covers more than four years, detailing work with his first amateur volunteers and the bonds he formed with them in order to create his unique photographic concepts. Part biography, part bar-room storytelling, these pages leave you eager to see what his future holds.
NSFW Issue 3: Objectification
This issue showcases the fun and alluring photography of Mark Velasquez as he documents objectification of all kinds.
This time, our muse, Miss Kacie Marie, describes her fascination with documenting herself with her webcam, and the topic of objectification is written and illustrated by internet sensations Katie West, Lou O'Bedlam, and Melisa Mann. Of course, there is also an adorable section of this issue's featured model, Rae.
Once again, contributing writer Hilary Underwood complains about something, and you get a glimpse into the world of burlesque dancing and Mexican Lucha Libre wrestling at an elegant Los Angeles landmark.
This issue showcases Mark's photos throughout the summer of 2010. From underwater images to travel documentation, come along for the wild ride that was the hottest three months of his year.
